We want you to help us update our current Blood Borne Viruses policy.

This policy sets out expectations in relation to blood borne viruses (BBV) for physicians performing or assisting in the performance of exposure prone procedures (EPPs). More specifically, in relation to testing, reporting, and managing positive infection statuses.

An Advice to the Profession: Blood Borne Viruses document also accompanies the policy, providing general advice to support physicians’ understanding and implementation of the policy, as well as information on CPSO’s evaluation of practice and practice restrictions with respect to seropositive physicians.
