Tell us what you think:
We want you to help us update our current Physician Behaviour in the Professional Environment (“Physician Behaviour”) policy.
The policy sets out expectations for physician behaviour in the professional setting, including responsibilities to patients, other health care professionals, and the medical profession.
As a companion to the policy, the Guidebook for Managing Disruptive Behaviour (“Guidebook”) – developed with the Ontario Hospital Association – provides advice and tools for creating environments that foster medical professionalism and identifying and effectively addressing disruptive behaviour.

We want to hear your thoughts on the current Physician Behaviour policy. For example, we’re interested to know:
- Does the current policy provide useful guidance for physicians?
- Are the expectations set out in the current policy clear and reasonable? Is the Guidebook helpful?
- Are there issues not addressed in the current policy that should be?
Or feel free to answer the additional questions we have in our online survey regarding the current policy and the Guidebook content (click here to download the PDF list of questions).
Please provide your feedback by Friday, May 5, 2023.

Your feedback is important to us. Your comments will be carefully reviewed and used to help us evaluate the current Physician Behaviour policy and Guidebook. CPSO Council will ultimately determine what revisions will be made in the next stages of the review process.
